Obituary for Arch O. "Archie" Fleisher

ARCH O. “ARCHIE” FLEISHER, age 86, of Piqua went to be with the Lord at 12:48 PM on Saturday February 24, 2018 at Heartland of Piqua Nursing Home. He was born in Hightown, VA on November 27, 1931 to Charles and Mary Margaret (Snyder) Fleisher. On September 6, 1965 in Troy, he married Loa M. Coppock. She survives.

Archie is also survived by one son: Arch O. Fleisher, Jr., Piqua; one daughter and son-in-law: Leona K. and Ryan Massie, Troy, OH; two grandchildren: Ryan James Fleisher and Hannah Joy Massie; sister-in-law: Judy Fessler, Piqua, OH; special niece: Freda Fleisher, Staunton, VA. He was preceded in death by one son: Robert Owen Fleisher in 1968; five brothers and four sisters.

Archie graduated from Blue Grass High School, Blue Grass, VA in 1952. He was a carpenter for over 40 years. Archie proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy.

Funeral Services will be held Friday March 2, 2018 at 1:00 PM at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME, Piqua with Rev. Gary Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington, OH with full military honors presented by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Calling hours will be Thursday 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
