Obituary for Lewis "Dick" R. Huber

LEWIS “DICK” R. HUBER, age 74, of Piqua, passed away Sunday December 2, 2018 at 11:27 A.M. at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, OH. He was born June 25, 1944 in Piqua, OH to the late Alvin and Bertha (Jacobs) Huber. He married Clara Ireton January 15, 1968 in New Hampshire, OH. She survives.

He is also survived by two sons: Richard Huber, Piqua, James M. Huber, Piqua; one daughter & son-in-law: Bonnie & Clint Carter, Piqua; one brother: Carl Huber, Piqua; eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and nine brothers.

Dick loved to spend time with his grandchildren and liked to play cards. He was employed in demolition and construction with William Supinger for over 20 years, Inland Homes, Piqua for 15 years, and repaired lawn mowers for many years at his residence.

A Celebration of Dick’s life will be held Monday December 10, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME, Piqua with Joseph Mikolajewski officiating. Family will receive friends 12 noon – 1 P.M. at the funeral home.
