Obituary for Norman F. Wehner

NORMAN F. WEHNER, age 80, of Piqua, died at 12:10 A.M. on Tuesday January 23, 2018 at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit. He was born in Piqua, OH on March 4, 1937 to the late Leo C. and Reva (Sleppy) Wehner. On June 2, 1956 in Troy, Oh, he married Imogene (Vannoy) Wehner. She survives.
Norman is also survived by one daughter: Nancy Goings, Piqua, OH; two sons: Richard Wehner, Sidney, Oh, David Wehner, Cartersville, GA; one sister and brother-in-law: Hilda and David Willis, Covington, OH; five grandchildren: Alexis Ballard, Morgan Wehner, Melissa Wehner, Richard Wehner, Jr., Nikki Wehner and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph Wehner, Leo Wehner; and two sisters: Rita Krach and Theresa Copeland.

Norman was a member of the Covington Eagles Post #3998. He worked at the Coca Cola Plant in Piqua. He detailed cars for Hardenbrook Ford and Elson Ford (Sidney Ford) in Sidney, OH. Norman loved to go camping and gardening. He especially loved roses.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 27, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME, Piqua with the Pastor Richard Keeran officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Calling hours will be Friday 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
