Obituary for Clifford Smith

CLIFFORD SMITH, age 66, of Piqua went to be with the Lord at 6:56 PM Monday January 15, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, OH. He was born January 8, 1952 in Piqua, OH to the late Robert and Hazel (Epperson) Smith. He married Joyce Hartzell September 17, 1971 in Piqua, OH. She survives.



Clifford is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Clifford, Jr. and Danielle Smith, Piqua, OH, and one daughter and son-in-law: Angela and James Slife, Tipp City, OH; four brothers and sisters-in-law: Robert Smith, Jr, Troy, OH, Larry and Debra Smith, Union, OH, Danny and Peggy Smith, Troy, OH, and Johnny and Tammy Smith, Piqua, OH; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Carolyn and John Reedy, Piqua, OH, Sheila and Joel Nunez, Williamsburg, IN, and Samantha and John Hanselman, Piqua, OH; six grandchildren: Alexandria Feight, Victoria Smith, Olivia Smith, Colin Smith, Colton Slife, and Caleb Slife; five great-grandchildren: Evelyn Feight, Xander Feight, Ezekiel Feight, Eleanor Smith, and Jonah Smith.



Clifford attended the Pentecostal Church. He was a member of the Piqua Fish and Game. Clifford enjoyed wood working, shooting his guns, and riding his motorcycle. Most of all Clifford cherished spending time with his family and grandchildren.



Funeral services will be held Saturday January 20, 2018 at 10:00 AM at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME, Piqua with Rev. Larry Smith and Rev. Timothy Livingston Co-officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, OH. Calling hours will be Friday 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
